Research vision

Based at the University of Glasgow, our lab will employ several model organisms for the discovery of novel antiphage systems, but we will focus prevalently on Serratia marcescens (See graphical abstract), Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

We will aim to identify and characterise novel loci that can determine resistance to phages, plasmids and other mobile genetic elements, dissecting their molecular mechanism and investigating their ecological impact.
